Next Big Thing Blog Hop

There’s plenty of futuristic sex club fun “rides” to enjoy, but Canna’s presence as the resident “poltergeist” who enhances your pleasure is a lot of fun, too. Then there’s the whole tragic love story between two creatures tortured by the same god in another life, only to find their destiny together in the most unlikely of places.

The fabulous author Marteeka Karland (who is also the artist of the cover of my book Nobody Rides for Free!) recently tagged me in her Next Big Thing Blog Hop and I am happy to oblige. 😉

What is the working title of your book?
Hard as a Rock

Where did the idea come from for the book?
It started as a playful faery who couldn’t help but torment humans in a sex club, but once I added the sexy gargoyle he took over a little.

What genre does your book fall under?
Futuristic paranormal erotic fantasy.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Canna, my faery, would have to be someone adorable, mischievous and fun, like Emma Stone. The only person huge and sexy enough that I can think of to play Basalt, my tragically cursed gargoyle, would be The Rock.

What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
He’s been cursed for centuries and she doesn’t even know he’s alive–can these winged lovers save each other?

Will your book be self published or represented by an agency?
It will hopefully be through an agency. I’ll know once I’m finished.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
I’m still working on this one.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre.
That’s a toughie! I haven’t read any other gargoyle books, but Cynthia Sax’s demon books do come to mind.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?
Canna’s playfulness did at first, but now I’m pretty much head over heels for Basalt myself.

What else about your book might interest the reader?
There’s plenty of futuristic sex club fun “rides” to enjoy, but Canna’s presence as the resident “poltergeist” who enhances your pleasure is a lot of fun, too. Then there’s the whole tragic love story between two creatures tortured by the same god in another life, only to find their destiny together in the most unlikely of places.
