New Review from The Romance Studio

I am so excited to share this review of The Boon Collector with you from The Romance Studio! Janie Esparza writes, “I liked the sexy, purple-hued Bane too. He was very dominant and just what Tisha needed after having been dumped by her loser of an ex-boyfriend. The love scenes between Bane and Tisha are melting hot.” To read the full review, click here.

Sneak Peek at Hard As a Rock Cover!

SJ_HardAsRock_largeMy next book, Hard as a Rock, will be out June 6! I am so excited about this one. It’s very close to my heart in some ways and I can’t wait to share it with you. Here is a sneak peek at the cover as well as a little synopsis to hold you over.

Canna, an impish, flirty faery, loves to service just about any client who enters The Pleasure Club, a futuristic sex club. But although the clientele is satisfied, Canna aches for the impossible. A sexy, larger-than-life gargoyle statue that happens to be a simple a décor item.

Basalt has spent centuries wanting Canna all to himself. Though his nightly visits train her to be his perfect lover, will she still want him when she finds out what he does during the day?

Guest Writer Wednesday: Blak Rayne

BlakRayne_OlderTheBetter800I’d like to welcome author Blak Rayne to the blog today! Check out her new release, Older the Better, and find out more about her writing style below.

Share a little bit about your writing style. What genres and types of heroes/heroines are you attracted to? What do you love to write about?

I’m kind of a jack-of-all-trades. Right now I write mm romance/drama, but I also pen fantasy and YA, which will eventually be published under a different nom de plume. Other genres I’ve considered are m/f romance, sci-fi, biographical and informative; out of all the aforementioned, fantasy is definitely my favorite. Fantasy is the perfect genre for any one with an overly active imagination—such as myself. I love the idea of no boundaries.

Boundaries are certainly made to be broken! What can we expect when we experience one of your books?

Okay, this is a tough question. I have always striven to write interesting stories that grab and maintain your attention from the first page to the last, which includes creating characters with histories that evolve. I want the reader to become attached to my characters—share in their experiences, maybe even carry an experience that leaves a lasting impression long after they’ve finished the book. If that happens, then I’ve done my job as the author.

Books that stay with you are definitely the best. Tell us a little about your latest release, or your favorite among all of your books.

My upcoming release, Older the Better, is an interracial mm romance in which the main character is significantly younger than the man he loves. Charles meets a man in his late teens. Their relationship lasts only months to end with a painful break-up. Charles never forgets the experience and it taints the rest of his dating life. Then, many years later, the opportunity arises for Charles to confront the man. So, he returns to his hometown intent on finding out why he was dumped. What makes the story interesting is the older man, who he is to Charles, and the age difference.

If I say any more, I’ll ruin the story. 🙂 I don’t know if Older the Better is my favorite, but as with all my stories, the main characters were enjoyable to write, especially Charles’s estranged lover. Continue reading “Guest Writer Wednesday: Blak Rayne”
